Did the residents of 1775 Boston wake up the morning of the Boston Tea Party and know it was going to be a historic day?

I wonder.

The same could be said for oil execs and shareholders who assembled for annual meetings at Chevron, Shell and ExxonMobil recently. Did these oil execs wake up that morning and, as they got dressed, know it was going to be their last day in the office? I wonder.
